January 23, 2012 - Natural Gas Notice

 

The Strata Council would like to inform residents that the natural gas usage at Centrepoint has increased almost 27.5% compared to the last fiscal year! Note that our stovetops, ovens, and hot water boilers use natural gas and that it is not free; the cost is included in your strata fees. If natural gas usage continues to go up significantly, strata fees will need to be increased to cover the costs. Please keep this in mind and be conservative when using natural gas. Thank you for your cooperation.
 

January 20, 2012 - Annual Fire Inspections

 

The Annual Fire Inspection has been scheduled for February 6 – February 8, 2012  starting at 10:00 AM each day.

February 6 - All townhouses and 2nd floor to 11th floor

February 7 - 12th floor to 23rd floor

February 8 - 24TH floor to 35th floor

A1 Fire, the Fire Inspection Company will be checking all building fire equipment to ensure that they are functioning properly as per the Fire Code, including all bells, in-suite devices and smoke alarms.

Please be aware that if A1 Fire cannot get access to your suite for inspection of this equipment you are in violation of the City of Burnaby Fire Code and the Building’s Bylaws.

There is a $200.00 fine for anyone who does not provide access to A-1 Fire and any re-inspection costs will be the Owners responsibility.

August 25, 2011 - Bike Room

 

The Centrepoint P3 Bike Locker Cage is now complete. The secured Bicycle locker cage is being monitored by layers of video surveillance and Fob access. Centrepoint Bylaws, Rules & Regulations do not permit any bicycles stored on the Balconies, Patios or Decks. Also, bicycles are also not
permitted in elevators, hallways or any other indoor common areas except the designated bike storage rooms (Bylaws Sec #41).


Please see our caretaker/resident manager for registration and use of the storage locker for your bicycles.


Bike Locker Rules & Regulations

  1. Bike Locker can only be used by Residents of Centrepoint.
  2. Bike(s) must be registered with Strata through the building caretaker and will be assigned # spot. No other spot can be used to store such bicycle.
  3. Picture of the Bike(s) must be provided at time of registry.
  4. Yearly $12 registration fee applies and must be paid at time of registry.
  5. All unregistered (or unpaid fee) bikes will be removed and disposed of.
  6. Change of bike must be reported along with new picture to Strata but no fee will be charged for reminder of the yearly term.
  7. NO registration fee or portion of will be refunded in the event of cancellation of locker usage prior to term expiry.
  8. Any willful damage to storage facility or other stored bikes will result in applicable fine being applied.
  9. Strata Corporation is NOT responsible for lost and/or stolen Bikes. Please ensure your condo/Home Owner’s insurance have adequate coverage.

June 3, 2011 - Centrepoint Security Audit

 

Our annual security audit has been overdue and the Strata Corporation will be requiring ALL owners/residents to submit the Audit Form to your Resident Manager by 15th July 2011. This Audit form can also be submitted online at http://www.centrepointstrata.com/audit.php.

 

*Note that this Audit is a requirement for the security and access to the building. Any Fobs not registered on the Audit Forms will be de-activated & will not function after 15th July 2011. Re-Activating a Fob after 15th July 2011 will be subject to a $25 Re-Activating fee payable in Cash only to the Resident Manager.
